Highlights

Kerala + Alleppey + Munnar + Cochin Kerala—Where Nature, Culture & Learning Flow  Together

Description

The tour begins in Munnar, the scenic hill station famous for its tea plantations. Here, students learn about plantation agriculture, processing techniques, and the socio-economic role of the tea industry in India. Visits to tea factories provide practical exposure to production and export processes. Discussions also address the environmental impacts of monoculture and sustainable farming alternatives.

Moving to Alleppey, known as the “Venice of the East,” students explore the unique backwater ecosystem via traditional houseboat cruises. This segment covers waterway navigation, rural community life, and the ecological importance of wetlands. It’s also a chance to study the balance between tourism and environmental preservation.
Finally, in Cochin (Kochi), students step into a city that has been a hub of maritime trade for centuries. Visits to Fort Kochi, the Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, and Chinese fishing nets offer lessons in multicultural heritage, colonial history, and traditional fishing methods. The Cochin Port visit gives insights into modern trade logistics and coastal urban planning.
Throughout the journey, Kerala’s traditional dance forms, handicrafts, cuisine, and local interactions add a cultural learning layer to the experience, making it both academically enriching and personally inspiring.
